SILA

SBA (Sharjah Book Authority) needed to create a brand for SILA (Sharjah International Literary Agency), a first of its kind in the UAE and the Middle East. They represent publishers and authors regionally but wanted to make a statement about it.

Brief:

To position their brand as the intersection of authors and publishers, art and business, and English and Arabic.

Insight:

A literary agency carries the authors' voices. It should empower them to speak freely and safely.

Solution:

Shaped from quotation marks to represent how it carries the author's story where it can speak for itself without risks. Its neutral grey colors are a gesture of transparency that stands for trust and helps the orange stand out as a reminder of SBA.

Impact:

A strategically grounded brand that positioned SILA as a powerful new voice in the regional publishing landscape.
