If you think about it, influencers are often creating content for people who want to become influencers themselves so they can, in turn, influence others.
But who are they really influencing? I’m genuinely curious.
Models worship the ramps they walk on.
Actors rehearse to reach the screen that’s not a phone.
Dancers break their bodies to move freely, alone and away from trends.
Directors chase the light to frame scenes.
Musicians compose entire lifetimes to make it about the listener.
Artists take longer to arrive because they’re willing to devote themselves to learning and unlearning.
Art is often slow. But influence? It’s fast.
One that sacrifices for expression, the other curates for attention.
My wish for us – May our best ideas never see the light of day so that you fall selfishly, fully, in love with the process itself.
